Knowing the intention of creating a pattern, and yet still controlling the randomness of other aspects in intriguing.

Seeing all sixteen spot lights the similarities and differences in them and creates an experience that would be distinctly lacking otherwise.

I see that here in Indonesia all the time. As an American here there are plenty of seeming random acts that don’t fit the pattern of my cultural view. Then I learn their cultural back story… and it becomes clear. Oddly enough, the more I learn of their backstory, the more I consider my own. Learning my own backstory teaches me who I am.
